Rapidly growing CoverMyMeds has been voted best small business of the year. Although small doesn’t describe any of the numbers coming from the software company that recently moved from downtown to 2 Miranova Place. A new sign facing Interstate 70 announces the company’s permanence and growing presence.
As of July 2014, the company had helped over 10 million patients with their prior authorization software. It’s one of the biggest headaches in the healthcare industry and one that often isn’t addressed until it’s too late. CoverMyMeds solution automates and greatly speeds up the prior authorization process. The solution is utilized by nearly 400,000 prescribers and pharmacists. And, revenue estimates for the year are valued at $50 million.
In November, CoverMyMeds also received an undisclosed investment from Francisco Partners. Since then CEO Matt Scantland says hiring has been in high-gear. The company is up to 140 employees and shows no signs of slowing.
