Over 1,000 guests are expected to attend the event that will include speaker Q&A sessions driven by attendee Twitter questions, a panel discussion, and an opportunity for attendees to engage with local socially driven initiatives. The theme of this year’s summit is Profit, Purpose, Progress. Speakers will engage the audience with information on turning their for-profit and non-profit businesses into a chance to do good.

Social innovation can be found in businesses in Columbus to half way across the country and the globe with additional speakers hailing from around the world. The APTE Summit will also feature BuildOn Founder Jim Ziolkowski, Christian Nicolas Desrosiers, co-founder of Somali-based Qorax Energy, Quijano Flores, CEO of NextDrop, which monitors water supplies in India, and global social entrepreneur, Demetri Patitsas.

This year’s APTE Summit also features a social business plan competition to be held on Friday, February 27.
