The 12-week program connects social enterprises with hands-on advice and training from industry experts. Up to 15 businesses will work to create a business plan that hinges on measurable social change alongside traditional financial goals. The program, which is free for selected businesses, will culminate in a Pitch Event where social enterprises will share their business ideas for an opportunity to receive a share of up to $100,000 in funding and prizes.

SEAchage280Applications are open through Friday, April 7 and can be found online. Social enterprises at the idea stage all the way through operating enterprise seeking growth are eligible for the program. Social enterprises selected for the program will be announced on Friday, April 14, with the program set to begin on Wednesday, May 3.

Social enterprise participants from the first cohort are finding success within the community. Commons Studio credits the program with their ability to hone in their business model and Shot for Shot campaign. Buy-one, give-one menstrual product company Aunt Flow was awarded $10,000 through the program and has donated 22,000 pads and tampons to women in need since launch. After receiving $50,000 through the program last year, Besa has continued to scale, contributing $500,000 in resources to local nonprofits and charities.

SEA Change is also seeking volunteer mentors and facilitators for the program. For more information on volunteer opportunities email [email protected]
