    It’s a slow month for crowdfunding as we move into the holiday season, but its really, really good news if you like bacon.

    1803 Bacon & Brews – Columbus Ohio

    Bring on the bacon! 1803 Bacon is raising dollars to open a bacon-focused restaurant and butcher shop. For the gents behind the business, bacon doesn’t just make everything better, it’s the main attraction. 1803 Bacon has come up with a dozen plus you won’t believe this is a flavor of bacon combos, and are hunting for a location to bring the crispy fried goodness to the masses.

    Baba’s needs dough, to bring home the bacon!

    That Food Truck owners Dan and Caroline Kraus are opening a brick-and-mortar spot with Baba’s in the North Campus / Clintonville area at 2515 Summit St. Future patrons of the bakery, restaurant and specialty store can expect coffee, plenty of baked goods, house-made jams, jellies and butters, and for the carnivores, many a chicken, pork and beef delicacy. A major electrical issue has drained funds and halted progress, but campaign success puts things back in motion.

    Three Little Birds: Aidan and Jenna Build a Village!

    Three Little Birds aims to be Columbus’ go-to community for natural parenting. A shop will carry baby essentials like cloth diapers, toys, clothes and body care products. A play lounge will give parents a moment to breathe and seek support as kiddos have fun with toys and games. A studio space will provide a place for classes and workshops for kids and parents, covering everything from breastfeeding, cloth diapers 101 and nutrition during pregnancy, to toddler yoga and music and art for kids. The founders turned to Indiegogo because of the difficulty that is traditional bank loans.
