    The Perch – Short North Coworking

    Brief outline of rental plans: We are a full-time shared office space. All members have 24/7 access.

    Rates: $450/month per desk with discounts for larger teams

    Brief outline of rental plans & Rates:

    Dedicated Room Membership — $650/month
    You get the whole room. Two dedicated desks, private key to your room & Qwirk, mailing address for business, personal mailbox storage locker, priority use of the conference room and concepting room, printer/fax/copy/scan, use Qwirk for evening events.

    Dedicated Desk Membership — $350/month
    You get it all. A single dedicated desk (which means you use and keep the same desk every day of your membership), storage locker, priority use of the conference room and concepting room, printer/fax/copy/scan, use Qwirk for evening events.

    Part-Time Desk Membership — $250/month
    Ideal for flexible Qwirkers. Use of the full facility, but you just take any open desk that’s available. Locker for the day, ability to use the conference rooms and shared equipment, discounted rental of Qwirk for events.

    Weekly Desk Membership — $85/week
    Ideal for flexible Qwirkers on the go. Use of the full facility on a weekly basis. Dedicated desk, locker for the week, limited on-demand printing, ability to use the conference rooms and shared equipment at a discounted rate, discounted rental of Qwirk for events.

    Day Pass — $10/day
    For those who simply need to drop in unannounced and use Qwirk for the day.

    Describe your organization and space in a few sentences: Qwirk rents out their office space to Villagers and others interested in working in the area. However, it is more than just a rented space. It’s a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. As soon as you walk in to the office, there is sense of community and collaboration. People are moving in between offices and bouncing ideas off of each other. It seems like Qwirk may be one of the few locations where the term “synergy” actually applies to the reality of the work environment.

    The business also offers their space free on Fridays to anyone who needs it. This means that if you are looking for a place to expand your business but aren’t sure where to make the move, you can head over to Qwirk on a Friday and simply check it out.

    Describe your organization and space in a few sentences: Entrepreneurial Coshares is a new coworking location in Upper Arlington for small businesses, startups and non-profits, in addition to freelancers, entrepreneurs, designers, writers and anyone who wants and needs to be in a professional workspace environment. To support your organization’s growth and development, we offer strategic consulting as part of our services, and one free one-hour session per month for members purchasing a monthly pass.

    The Salt Mines

    Number of offices / occupancy: Each of our spaces has room for eight dedicated desks and another 12-15 floating workspaces. We don’t offer private offices.

    Brief outline of rental plans & Rates:

    • – Full-time membership for $200/month (with the option of adding a dedicated desk for $50/month)
    • – Part-time membership 12 days/month for $120
    • – Weekly membership five days/month for $60
    • – Basic membership one day/month for $15

    Are spaces available for multi-person teams: We have tables and desk groupings that work well for teams. Our desks are big enough that pair-programmers can comfortably share space. We also offer 50 percent discounts on add-on memberships for teams who want to work together.

To that end, we intentionally all work in the same space without private offices. Working at The Salt Mines is like working at a coffee shop where it’s OK to talk with your neighbors and the barista isn’t staring you down for not drinking enough coffee.

    Brief outline of rental plans: “Maker Membership” is three months up front, then month-to-month after that. We are exploring coworking memberships.

We have tools (from 3D printing to blacksmithing), we teach classes on all of our tools, and then we sell memberships. With 200 members and growing, we represent a technology, creative and entrepreneurial ecosystem that can help you make art, create products, devise innovations, monetize your ideas, or all of the above.
