    Hear from Ohio State President Michael V. Drake at Columbus Chamber’s CEO Insights August 1

    The Columbus Chamber launched its CEO Insights event series in 2013 to provide engaging conversations with some of the region’s most influential leaders on topics like leadership, finance, marketing, hiring and more. On Wednesday, August 1, Dr. Michael V. Drake, President of The Ohio State University will take the stage for CEO Insights at the Columbus Museum of Art, 480 E. Broad St.

    “President Drake will be sharing an intimate conversation with our audience about a wide range of topics, including his journey into higher education; his aspirations for Ohio State and most important areas of focus; the University’s ongoing efforts toward preparing students to join the workforce of the future; Ohio State’s role in the community; and the partnerships and programs fueling innovation in the student experience,” says Joe Bellfy, director of marketing and engagement and the Chamber.

    Home to nearly 60,000 students at its Columbus campus alone, OSU is a massive workforce generator and employer for the Central Ohio region. Under Dr. Drake’s leadership, the university has had its best numbers in applications, graduation rates, academic excellence and diversity.Drake

    “The lessons and guidance from those successes are easily transferable to the business world, making this event a must-attend for any member of the business community no matter the size or industry,” Bellfy says.

    Drake will provide an inside view of what it takes to be at the helm of the region’s largest employer that is also one of the most successful educational institutions in the country.

    Breakfast and registration begins at 7:15 a.m. followed by programming from 8 – 9 a.m. Tickets are $40 for Columbus Chamber members and $55 for non-members.
