The expo, which goes from 12 to 4 p.m., is being sponsored by the Business Builders Club at The Ohio State University.

“There are so many amazing small businesses in the Columbus area, and students looking for experience shouldn’t be limited to the big companies that come to the career fairs that are put on by official university departments,” says Austin Hutchison, a senior majoring in marketing at Ohio State.

“Not to say those aren’t great opportunities as well, [but] the idea of the fair is simply to expand both the quantity and variety of those options for students,” he adds.

About 20 local businesses are expected to participate.

The Business Builders Club is dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and small business, and the more it can link interested students with businesses who can offer them real world experience, the better it is doing to achieve that mission, Hutchison says.
