Online payment services company 2Checkout.com is in the process of expanding its headquarters in Central Ohio, with the assistance of the city of Columbus.
Last week, Mayor Michael Coleman and members of Columbus City Council supported a 25 percent, five-year Job Growth Incentive package that provides the growing internet-based business with the ability to add 100 new jobs at its firm and to expand its headquarters located at 1785 O’Brien Rd. on the west side.
“It is because of businesses like 2Checkout.com that Columbus has become known as the best city for jobs in the Midwest,” Coleman says. “I salute 2CO for investing in our community and for creating jobs for our residents.”
2CO was founded in Columbus in 2000 by Alan Homewood and currently employs 89 people. The company provides a global payments solution system for more than 100,000 online retailers.
The expansion project at 2CO will begin in June 2012 and be completed in September 2012.
