Applications Open for 2021 SEA Change Accelerator

Do you have an idea for a social enterprise? Are you currently operating a socially-conscious business and looking to grow? The SEA Change Accelerator is now accepting applications to help social enterprises build their businesses.

During the 14-module program, participants will develop a business plan that aims to generate measurable social change alongside more traditional financial goals. Businesses will receive professional guidance and coaching from local mentors and facilitators and participate in 14 live Zoom sessions with subject matter experts.

For its 2021 cohort, SEA Change will hold live, virtual sessions until it is safe to meet in-person.

Up to 15 startups will be selected to participate in the accelerator. The program culminates in a pitch event with funding and prizes made available to the teams that have progressed the furthest, fastest. Funding support is provided by The Columbus Foundation, IGS Energy and other additional sponsors.

Applications for the 2021 Signature Cohort close on April 5. Businesses will be notified if they are selected for the program by April 14. Cohort programming begins on April 28 and runs through August 4.

The program is free to participants through support from the Business for Good Foundation.

More information and an application for the SEA Change Accelerator can be found here.

In addition to its cohort businesses, SEA Change is also seeking volunteer mentors and facilitators. Subject matter experts and business mentors can fill out a volunteer interest form here. Volunteer training will take place on April 2, with the cohort officially beginning on April 28. Mentor Match will take place on May 3.
