With the growth local logistics company VPL has been experiencing, the time had come for a new office space. Leadership worked with CBRE to find their new headquarters and landed on 440 Polaris Parkway.

“This move represents another significant milestone for our fast-growing company,” said Rob Doone, President and CEO, VPL. “The new office space better accommodates our growing team and will help us attract top-talent.”

VPL occupies the top floor of the building. The space was built out to accommodate a team of about 70, but with room to hire 130.

The team looked at quite a few spaces around the city, including Columbus, Grandview, and Dublin before deciding on 440.

“This space offered the perfect combination of location, size and build out opportunities,” says Don Carroll, VP, Business Development. An economic development incentive from the city of Westerville, completed the deal.

To build out the 24,000 square foot space, VPL turned to Dupler Office and Candice Marzetz of Candice & Co.

“They did a great job of helping us ensure our associates would always have comfortable spaces to work in,” says Carroll. “One of the things everyone seems to appreciate is that every desk in the office can be adjusted to accommodate sitting or standing. It’s those little details that help people stay energized and productive throughout the day.”

An open environment with a mix of large and small conference rooms, breakout rooms, and nooks creates a space that provides collaboration as well as needed quiet space.

In the large cafeteria there is plenty of seating. High communal tables, low tables with bench seating, smaller group tables, and relaxing lounge seating provide plenty of options. The long custom bar along the kitchen comes alive for the occasional video game and happy hours.
