Best Small Business Resource in Columbus: ECDI

For the third year in a row, you have voted ECDI as the Best Small Business Resource in Columbus. With its abundant programming and proven track record of success, it’s no wonder ECDI has become the go-to source for budding business owners in Central Ohio.

Since 2004, ECDI has disbursed over $26.5 million through 1,325 small business loans that range from $500 – $350,000, ranking them as the fourth largest SBA microlender in the nation.

More than loans, the resource provider’s clients have created and retained 4,700 new jobs thanks to a variety of programs and resources that equip business owners with the knowledge they need to grow.

The Small Enterprise Education Development (S.E.E.D) Training Series takes entrepreneurs through critical business components like concept, organization, customer relations and operations. Other targeted classes touch on every business subject imaginable from advertising, to finances, to social media – and that’s just a sampling.

Not only did ECDI take the number one spot, but its other niched initatives earned their own rankings in the Top 10. The Food Fort is a haven for food trucks and other food-based businesses, while the Women’s Business Center is building a strong base of female-led enterprises in Central Ohio.
