Presented by Kiwanis Club of Columbus and co-hosted by SocialVentures, Philanthropitch accelerates non-profits by providing unrestricted capital and access to in-kind services that help organizations expand their impact and fund initiatives that aren’t covered by traditional grants. Non-profits selected for the program will receive pitch coaching and the chance to build awareness among new donors, mentors and volunteers during their time on stage.

Applying for Philanthropitch is free and open to 501c3 organizations based in Columbus or primarily serving the Columbus region. The competition is industry agnostic, and non-profits new and established are eligible to apply. A group of semi-finalists will be selected for a phone interview before finalists are announced to the public on November 15 and advance to take the stage at Philanthropitch Columbus.

Finalists will receive coaching to craft their three-minute pitches for the main event. Philanthropitch will also support all non-profits that are not invited to pitch through a seminar on designing scalable, sustainable business models.

Launched in Austin, TX in 2013, Philanthropitch has awarded more than $500,000 to help non-profits grow. In addition to Columbus, the organization has expanded to San Antonio, TX.

Applications for the Columbus pitch competition close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 21. Access the Columbus application here. For more information, visit philanthropitch.org.
