    COhatch Unveils Plans for Dublin

COhatch is continuing is expansion across Central Ohio. Its latest coworking and community space is slated for Dublin, where it will share space with North High Brewing.

It will still be a “High Street” for the brewery, which will partner with COhatch on a complex at 56 N. High St. in historic Dublin. (North High’s flagship location is at 1288 N. High St. in Short North.) The new plans mean the closure of longstanding Irish pub Brazenhead.

The 4,500 square foot restaurant space will see a renovation that will not only turn it into a brewery and eatery, but restore the historic building to its architectural roots. It will also feature two patios – including one overlooking the Scioto River.

“Joining forces with COhatch couldn’t be a better fit for us,” said Tim Ward, co-owner of North High Brewing. “Our brand is built on delivering experiences for our customers which is fully aligned with the COhatch mission to bring people together. As one of the area’s largest microbrewers, residents of Dublin – many of which are our most loyal customers — will be able to sample, taste and buy our beer products that will be brewed and served onsite while experiencing and enjoying all the process has to offer.”

The complex will offer more than double the square footage of coworking space. Construction will start this winter on an adjoining 10,000 square foot facility that will house office and event space. Private offices, dedicated desks, game areas, coworking spaces, meeting rooms, large conference rooms, and family-friendly indoor-outdoor event spaces are all slated to be included in the square footage.

“We have been searching for the perfect space for COhatch in Dublin for a few years now; one that matches our vision of giving local area residents another reason to work, meet and live in the vibrant communities they love at a site reflecting the heritage of the area,” said COhatch Founder & CEO Matt Davis.

The COhatch complex will be located near the soon-to-open Dublin Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge will connect the historic, downtown Dublin area with the still-developing Bridge Park. The Bridge Park development has brought an influx of apartments and condos to Dublin, as well as a variety of dining and entertainment options, many of which are expansions of local brands. North Market Bridge Park is also expected to open in spring 2020.

The Dublin partnership is not the first time COhatch has teamed up with a local maker on space. The Polaris location, The Pub, also serves as a second location for Brothers Drake Meadery, featuring a production area and nighttime bar hours.

North High Brewing will open first in spring 2020, followed by the coworking side of the operation in January 2021.
