Through a new partnership with Capital University, the Chamber is continuing its support of entrepreneurs and thought leaders through the relaunch of its business-focused podcast, cbuzz.

The series, which first began production in 2015, features intimate conversations with leaders and innovators from the area business community sharing first-hand experiences in strategy, entrepreneurship, finance, recruiting and many other areas.

Students of Capital’s Audio Engineering Society, guided by their professors, are at the helm of the recording and editing of the podcast, which takes place in the university’s state-of-the-art Convergent Media Center.CBuzzLogo

“Bringing new life to cbuzz with our partners at Capital University is a real boon to the Columbus business community,” said Don DePerro, president and CEO of the Columbus Chamber. “Not only does it help tell the story of Central Ohio’s continued growth, but it showcases great local talent and puts a real-world production into the hands of Capital students as well.”

Listeners can also anticipate a new voice behind cbuzz, Columbus-based brand journalist Mikaela Hunt. An experienced podcaster and business owner, Hunt is an enthusiastic comrade of the Columbus community and provides valuable insight into the realm of entrepreneurship.

The first guest of the relaunch, which premiered in January 2018, featured car2go’s Chet Ridenour. Topics of conversation included ride sharing, the benefits of community partnerships and what all the development around Columbus means for members of the business community.

“This is a small pond. It’s easier to be a big fish. With that being said, people are pretty approachable and open to new ideas,” said Ridenour during his cbuzz interview.

Subsequent episodes to follow include Dr. Frederic Bertley of COSI, Rachel Friedman of TENFOLD and Mark Henson of sparkspace.
