A small business seeing rapid success, Rambling House Soda is raising funds to add equipment to increase bottling capabilities and keg sales. The all-natural soda producer turns out flavors like ginger beer, sarsaparilla and colas, as well as a rotating seasonal lineup. From markets and festivals to a 1,400 square-foot facility in a year, the pop is found at several bars and markets across town and has an additional distribution lineup ready for when production increases.
Matucci’s Custom Cakes is ready to expand. Dave Matucci has been baking impressive custom-designed for any occasion buttercream cakes from his home-based business. Funding will go towards equipment to help expand the operation. The cake maker has ambitious goals to grow the business during 2015 and aims to open a brick-and-mortar location in 2016.
Carbon Flyer: The durable carbon fiber video drone
Another successful product from the minds at Trident Design, the Carbon Flyer is first all carbon fiber personal drone, controlled by Bluetooth, with an onboard video camera. Touted as the ultimate tech toy, the flyer is not your average remote controlled airplane. The highly durable all carbon fiber body is controlled via iOS or Android app. Backers can pre-order the flyer through the campaign, and funding will go towards finalizing design, materials and first-run production.
The Social Media for Charity, POINT
What Facebook is for friends, POINT aims to be for charities. The app creates a central place to engage with all things charity. Users can follow causes they care about and share information with others about charitable organizations. POINT users will be able to give to causes at the tap of a button, and also find ways to get involved. Much of the initial funding will go to app development with a long-term plan for launch in 2016.
