The women behind UNCHAINED introduce ethical clothing line Novel. The duo aim to create a 10-piece capsule collection of American-made garments in 2016. Novel incorporates transparency and quality into their mission, from sourcing organic materials and using natural dyes, to employing survivors of human trafficking, the homeless and refugees. Novel is raising funds for buying fabrics, manufacturing samples and employment training.
Employment Gold presents a software solution to streamline the job search process for everyone involved. The software incorporates a job board, applicant tracking system, automated communications and a complete workflow management solution. It’s full-steam ahead on development once the project is funded.
This card game is named after the Greek word for scream – which you will be doing a lot of when you play. It’s a who can think of it first free for all with letter and category cards. The game makers are seeking funds for production costs and platform pre-sales.
Making Midwest – Telling The Stories Of The Creative Midwest
Los Angeles or New York City may seem like the go-to’s for those in the creative field, but an in-the-works festival looks to highlight all the great talent right here in the Midwest. Making Midwest will be a two-day affair featuring a dozen creatives sharing stories and inspirations. The yearly ordeal is a bump up from quarterly events, and funds will go towards event fees like venue rental, planning costs, presenters and print materials.
Chances are during college you spent a lot of time on Friday and Saturday nights trying to figure out where the parties were. A new app looks to eliminate mass texts and Facebook stalking in favor of a social media stream just for parties. PartyEDU features public, private and Greek party locations, all at college students’ fingertips.
Columbus has a vibrant and growing food truck scene, and another chef is ready to add to it. Experienced Chef Michael Martiny’s truck will serve up regional gourmet sandwiches, along with regional, nostalgic and retro beverages. Funds will go towards truck and equipment purchases.
Urban Agriculture Education Center
Building on successes seen in other cities, this campaign aims to bring urban agriculture to Columbus. The inner-city farms would provide not only food year-round, but opportunities for surrounding residents while making use of abandoned buildings or land. The campaign asks for multiple forms of support in the way of money and community action.
Another campaign hopes to bring locally grown produce to Central Ohio year-round. W.E. All Natural Farms is raising money to build a green house and aqauponic system churning out produce and fish for the local community, restaurants and food banks. Funds will go towards phase one of the project – building the greenhouse and geothermal heating and cooling system.
