    Cafe Brioso – Brioso Coffee

Popular downtown eatery and coffee roaster Cafe Brioso is raising funds for a second location in the Discovery District. The new location will be a slightly different concept, focusing on growing business to business sales with customer-specific roasting. The space will also feature a viewable roasting area, experimental coffee laboratory and an open cupping station.

    Community Grounds

Launching on September 10th, Community Grounds will create a coffee shop and community center on Parsons Avenue. The multi-use space will feature coffee from local roasters, along with vegan and vegetarian food options. The gathering place will be one of a growing number of revitalizations to the South Side neighborhood.

Kitchen + Threads: Organic. Handmade. Lasting

Kitchen + Threads is making organic, durable, hand-made aprons. Endless washes and a daily beating in the kitchen mean aprons should be long-lasting, so Chef Silas Caeton has been hand-crafting the organic denim frocks that are available in small, standard and tall. Funds will help Caeton bulk order the apron materials, purchase commercial sewing machines and equipment, and train other sewers.

David: The Next Step in 3D Printing

Sculptify is aiming to shake up the 3D printing industry with their pelletized materiel printer, David. Using pellets expands both the number of materials that can be used for printing, and thereby the applications for printed products. Sculptify’s design is ready and successful funding will go towards preparing the printer for final production (with plans to keep manufacturing in Columbus) and expanding the number of pelletized materials that will be available.
