It’s a busy month for Columbus crowdfunding. A couple of names make their second appearance on our monthly roundups, while another startup takes a foray into equity crowdfunding. There’s bacon, clothing, a coffee mug and a strap for hunters. You can also help students rate their internship and youth access strength and conditioning classes. Keep reading for the rundown on each.
Located in Weiland Park, Capital City Youth Strength & Conditioning opened with a mission to “engage urban youth in physical activity, fostering a supportive and safe environment to increase health and resiliency while building relationships that encourage lifelong commitment to health, wellness and community.” Campaign funds will support free and reduced-cost classes to those ages 7 – 17.

Hunter safety is at the center of the Eagle3. The platform will allow students to rate and provide a detailed description of their experience to help other interns make career decisions, while also allowing potential employers to post videos about their opportunities. InternWire.com will be free to students, and is raising money to get out of website-building debt before launch.
Sunshine & Bravado: ethical clothing collection
The designs are ready, but Sunshine & Bravado is raising funds to bring their ethical clothing line to life. All garments will also be made in the U.S. Funds will go towards tasks like pattern making, fabrics, legal necessities to get things up and running and an e-commerce build out.
Another business delves back in to crowdfunding. 1803 Bacon looks to spread its porky goodness by raising funds to expand into wholesale production. The bacon purveyors need more equipment to bring their 30 plus varieties of the breakfast (or really, anytime) staple to more mouths in Ohio.
