    Applications Open for 2019 SEA Change Accelerator

    Applications are now open for social enterprise accelerator SEA Change. Up to 15 businesses will be selected for the 14-week program that offers hands-on advice and training from industry experts to help social enterprises build their models.

    SEA Change focuses on social enterprises, those businesses that seek to use traditional business practices to solve social problems. The program will help these organizations build a business plan that aims to generate measurable social change alongside their more traditional financial goals.

    Topics covered during the program include:

    • Mission, vision & values
    • Customer discovery
    • Business model design
    • Financial modeling
    • Raising funds
    • Measuring, monitoring & communicating impact
    • Business planning
    • Creating partnerships
    • Marketing, sales & branding
    • Pitching your idea & storytelling

    Program participants will also receive hands-on professional guidance and coaching from local mentors and facilitators. The program culminates in a pitch event were over $100,000 in funding and prizes are awarded to the top teams.

    The program is free for participants. Idea-stage ventures, to currently operating social enterprises looking to grow, and every stage in between are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is Monday, May 6, 2019. A link to the application can be found here.
