    Applications Open for Philanthropitch Columbus 2021

    Social impact fast pitch competition Philanthropitch will take things virtual for its third annual event in Columbus, running May 10-18.

    Applications are now open for the program which provides nonprofits with unrestricted funds to amplify their impacts on the community.

    501c3 organizations currently serving or planning to expand to the Columbus area are eligible to apply. Nonprofits selected for Philanthropitch will receive one-on-one pitch training and business coaching through a series of pitch workshops and practices.

    Philathropitch helps support initiatives and programs not covered by traditional grant dollars, promoting innovation in the nonprofit space. Over the last two years, local nonprofits have received over $220,000 in funding to support social enterprise initiatives, grow existing programs, expand facilities, hire additional staff and more.

    Nonprofits can learn more about Philanthropitch and the application process during two upcoming virtual Q&A sessions:

    Applications close on February 25. Applicants will be notified of their status by March 4 with semi-finalists advancing to a phone interview. Semi-finalists will notified if they are a finalist by March 15 and advance to Philanthropitch Columbus.

    Finalists will pitch from the virtual stage beginning May 10, with community voting running May 10-14 and an awards ceremony at 7 p.m. on May 18. Additional event details are to be announced.

    Philanthropitch Columbus is presented by the American Electric Power Foundation. Philanthropitch is an initiative of Austin, Texas based Notley, which also hosts events in Austin, San Antonio and Philadelphia.
