The 14-week program helps budding social enterprises build a business plan that aims to generate measurable social change along with more traditional financial goals. In addition to professional guidance and coaching, selected teams will pitch for up to $100,000 in funding and prizes at the conclusion of the accelerator.

Launched in 2016, this will be the third cohort of Central Ohio participants in the SEA Change accelerator program. Many of the past participants have gone on to make a measurable impact in Central Ohio and beyond through their operations. Previous participants have included BESA, Aunt Flow, Growlers Dog Bones, EmpowerBus and DACA TimeSEAchage280

Applications are open through April 29 and idea-stage ventures to operating social enterprises and everything in between are invited to apply. Finalists will be selected in early May with the programming beginning on May 16.

The SEA Change accelerator is made possible through the support of the Business of Good Foundation, The Columbus Foundation, The United Way of Central Ohio, IGS Energy and others.
