    Basecraft Expanding with NYC Office

Columbus-based Basecraft is taking their success on the road, announcing a second office in SoHo in New York City. The new office will look to replicate the success the creative branding firm has experienced in Central Ohio, projecting to add 15 NYC-based employees in a two-year span, a growth pattern they were successful with in Columbus.

“We have two clients in New York currently and we have a collaborative approach with our clients, and that collaborative approach is best when we get to work locally with them,” Founder Chris Hamrick says of their decision to expand to the Big Apple.

The proximity will take already good relationships with the NYC-based clients and make them even better, while allowing further expansion of their portfolio in the area.

Both offices will offer the same full suite of services.

“We’re going to continue to focus on all industries,” Hamrick adds. Their ideal client is someone looking for a full suite of creative brand services, no matter company size or industry.

Hamrick will split time between the Columbus and NYC offices, but he still plans fulfill the obligations of a tax incentive from the City of Columbus to add 30 new associates by 2017.

“Columbus is an awesome place to live and grow a business,” he says. “We still have every plan to continue to invest in this city and to grow our Columbus headquarters.”

While Columbus will remain the headquarters, NYC is just the first of what Hamrick hopes will be several small Basecraft agencies across the U.S. The reason for their success and the need for additional offices, are one in the same.

“We have an extremely collaborative approach to our projects,” he says. “We really do embed ourselves with our clients. That is where we are finding our success.”

NYC was the logical choice for the first offshoot because of an established client base, but future locations are yet to be determined. Hamrick says the next office won’t be in 2015, but they are eyeing warm locations.
