The Mid-America Economic Development Council’s annual Economic Development awards ceremony took place in Chicago in December, and Columbus received some special recognition. The ColumbusRegion.com website, which launched in June 2011, took home the first place prize for websites in the large market category.
“Our goal for the ColumbusRegion.com website was to create an online presence to showcase all of the characteristics that make our 11-county region attractive to businesses,” says Kenny McDonald, chief economic officer at Columbus2020. “It’s an honor to be recognized among our peers by MAEDC, especially in Columbus2020’s first full year of existence.”
The ColumbusRegion.com website was created by local web engineering and development firm Dynamit.
