The Metropreneur launched one year ago today with a clear mission: to strengthen the entrepreneurial environment in Central Ohio and support its small business community. Our varied editorial content has been instrumental in helping us meet those challenges.
To date, we’ve published 290 stories, nearly 70 of which are profiles of local businesses. However, we believe our role goes beyond simply “telling the story” of our entrepreneurial community, and includes providing resources for virtual business incubation.
Hence the reason we’ve offered readers 14 how-to guides, 25 event previews and reviews, and highlighted what more than a dozen communities in the region are doing to help established entrepreneurs, as well as those just getting started.
Another point of pride is our Local Resource Database, which currently features more than 185 programs, organizations, and businesses aimed at helping entrepreneurs achieve success.
We’ve also turned our pages over to 40 local experts who have been more than willing to share their knowledge about, and experiences with, a myriad of subjects− everything from social media campaigns and green job creation to retail design and small business law.
Of course, we would have no reason to produce content if it weren’t for you, our faithful readers. Over the last 12 months, you’ve visited our website more than 87,000 times and logged nearly 177,500 pageviews.
