News Bites: Spritz Teas Picked up by Kroger

It’s an exciting update that startups love to share – their product is getting picked up by a large retail chain. As of Tuesday, November 30, that’s the case for Spritz Teas. The woman-owned beverage startup hit the market in December of 2019 and two years later will be carried by 189 Kroger stores in the Columbus and Cincinnati area.

“This is an incredible step forward for our young business, and we are thrilled to partner with Kroger to bring our innovative product to more customers,” said CEO and founder Kathryn Doughtery in a statement.

The company persevered through the difficult pandemic, weathering bar and restaurant closures, canceled orders and more.

Katherine Grogan, Ohio Sales Leader for Spritz Beverages, reflected on the past year and launch of Kroger, “I am so proud of our team. It has been a tough road and now we get to toast Spritz and celebrate our partnership with Kroger! This will help us build local brand awareness bringing more consumers together to toast Spritz with us.”

Flavors available at Kroger locations include: Pink Guava, Wild Acai, and Golden Peach; all promising a sip of soft bubbles with juicy and fresh flavors.
