Social impact fast pitch competition Philanthropitch will return to Columbus in 2020.
2019 marked the inaugural year for the event in the city which helps nonprofits accelerate their impact and fund initiatives not supported by traditional grants by providing unrestricted capital and access to in-kind services. Philanthropitch is an initiative of Austin, Texas based Notley, which also hosts events in Austin, San Antonio and Philadelphia.
Philanthropitch Columbus, presented by AEP Foundation, is slated for Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Applications are now open for 501c3 organizations looking to take the stage.
Participating nonprofits receive one-on-one coaching and pitch training from business leaders and mentors. Leading up to the event, nonprofits are required to attend a workshop that will help them articulate their financial models and how to perfect their three-minute pitch. Finalists also have the opportunity to meet twice with the Notley team to review their pitches and slides.
All 501c3 nonprofits, regardless of size or number of years in operation, that serve the Central Ohio area are eligible to apply. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Applications and additional information can be found here.
Have questions about Philanthropitch? Katie Hall, VP of business development at Notley, will be in Columbus on Wednesday, November 6 for an in-person Q&A. The information session will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. at Rev1 Ventures, 1275 Kinnear Rd. Registration for the Q&A can be found here.
Philanthropitch 2019 saw seven Columbus nonprofits receive a combined total of over $100,000 in funding.
