The SBB Relaunches Its Website

The Small Business Beanstalk recently revamped its website, TheSBB.com, to make it more user-friendly for the public as well as its administrators.

The local business cooperative’s officials say the new site works faster, offers more information, and features modules and templates that eliminate the need for backend coding. Its appearance also has been altered.

“Our designer hated our old website for some reason,” says Alex Rider, The SBB’s chief financial officer. “He said it was ‘unsettling to the eye.’ We finally caved in.”

Changes to the site include the ability to tag businesses with their respective industries or products; “online and “food truck categories, as such businesses were easily lost among the hundreds of brick-and-mortar businesses with established addresses; an “upcoming events” section to engage the community; and a scrolling deal bar on the homepage to create awareness of local shopping places.
