Local design firm Fulcrum Creatives is relocating, expanding and evolving. Launched in 2002 by Jason Moore, the creative company provides branding and design solutions for local businesses and organizations with a community-based mission at the core. Fulcrum had offices located at 9 East Second Avenue in the Short North for several years, but just relocated to the “Warehouse District” on the northern end of Downtown Columbus.
“Our lease was running out and we had already outgrown our small studio,” explains Jason Moore, Principal at Fulcrum Creatives. “I’ve also always believed that it’s better for a neighborhood to have walk up business on the ground floor, so we were looking to get off the street. The old space is going to become a salon, so it should be of benefit to the neighborhood to have more foot traffic than we generated.”
Moore says that he had his eye on the building at 243 North Fifth Street for awhile, and the ability to relocate his business there was a matter of serendipitous timing.
“I knew this was where we were going to move to before they showed me the actual space,” he says. “The move will give us some elbow room, with room to grow. We plan to bring in another full time employee on the account side sometime between now and the first of the year, with room for more.”
