Research and design consultancy Lextant is making a downtown move from the Smith Bros’ Hardware Building to newly constructed 250 S. High come November. Lextant will expand their office footprint from a current 11,000 square-feet to 13,000, and take their team from 55 to 95 with the addition of 40 new jobs over the next five years.
“The move is an opportunity for Lextant to continue to grow and better serve our customers,” says Chris Rockwell, president and founder of Lextant. “We’re looking forward to helping shape the continued growth of Columbus and its creative class.”
Lextant helps clients like Abercrombie & Fitch, Nationwide, P&G, Crown Equipment and Victoria’s Secret understand what their customers want and how their brand can deliver it. As more business look for these insights, the company expects to double over the next five years. Up first, positions like design researchers, user experience designers, human behavior specialists and business strategists will expand Lextant’s current workforce.
“I’m pleased to see this local company demonstrating a long-term commitment to Columbus with its latest expansion,” says Mayor Michael B. Coleman “Along with boosting job opportunities for our residents, Lextant will add to the growing creative energy in downtown Columbus.”
In addition to office space and associate amenities, Lextant’s new home will feature a state-of-the-art research facility boasting new equipment and consumer research technologies, along with space for focus groups, in-depth interviewing, observation research and usability testing.
