After the Columbus Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting on February 11, 2016, current Chamber CEO and President Michael Dalby will resign.
“I could not be more proud of my time at the Chamber, and of the staff and volunteers I’ve worked with,” Dalby said. “Together we’ve built a service model that has allowed us to advise hundreds of our region’s small and mid-sized businesses and help them thrive here. The Columbus Region has some great entrepreneurs whose businesses will continue to fuel the economy.”
The Chamber provides a variety of resources to businesses of all sizes, including support in areas such as research, marketing, talent advisement, networking and government affairs. Since 2011, Dalby has led the Chamber team as they’ve assisted over 1,000 companies a year.
“We want to thank Michael for his hard work through the years and for his service to the Columbus Chamber,” said John McEwan, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Under Dalby’s leadership, the Chamber has also taken a focus on mid-size and small-businesses in Columbus. McEwan says the Chamber has worked to identify the issues most important to these businesses and has unique and specialized resources for these organizations that a driving force of the local economy.
Going forward, “This is the time to redouble our efforts for the thousands of small and medium-sized businesses in our community that look to us for leadership,” McEwan said. “The Chamber’s goal is to be recognized in Central Ohio as the voice of small and mid-sized companies.”
