Middle West Spirits Expanding with More Production Space

Locally-based Middle West Spirits has seen much success in its first five years on the market, and is ready to ramp up production to the next level by adding a second production facility to the business. The new 23,000 square foot building is located in the Milo-Grogan neighborhood, just east of the original home of Middle West Spirits in the Short North. The new space will allow the owners the capacity to grow while lowering the cost of doing business.

“With the increasing costs of housing a manufacturing company in the city’s most popular retail and entertainment district, it was natural for us to evaluate other locations to improve our operating efficiencies,” said MWS Co-Founder Brady Konya. “The decision to invest in Milo Grogan was also a way for us to show our commitment to attracting other Ohio-grown brands to a central neighborhood with tremendous potential.”

The building is located adjacent to the future headquarters of Rogue Fitness, another rapidly-growing local company in need of manufacturing and production space.

“The Leadership in Milo Grogan is currently working hard to attract new job and growth opportunities for both the residents and the business community,” said Robert Barksdale, Milo Grogan Area Commission Chair. “We welcome MWS and feel that they will be a positive catalyst for Milo Grogan to actively participate in the booming entrepreneurism that currently exists in both Italian Village and the Short North.”

The new facility will contain space for bottling equipment, raw materials storage, production space for the Tavern Vinegar Co. line of products, and 2,500 square feet of office space for the company.
