A prominent Downtown address will be the latest location for Office Evolution in Central Ohio starting Wednesday.
Ted Fireman is opening a branch of the furnished, flexible office space that targets sole proprietors and small businesses in the Huntington Center at 41 S. High St. in the heart of Downtown.
“One of the things I’ve found is office space is a challenge for a new business or somebody who is an independent consultant or any kind of solopreneur because it’s expensive,” Fireman says.Â
A typical office often comes with a long-term lease and a host of expenses outside of rent, including equipment, furniture and internet.
“What we really created is an opportunity for small business owners, entrepreneurs to come into an affordable plug and play environment,” Fireman says.Â
From day one, a business owner will have all that’s needed to get down to work. And with flexible lease options, getting down to work could literally be for one day or a year or more. Office Evolution offers spaces and rental options so business professionals only pay for what they need.
Office Evolution Downtown includes 24 fully furnished executive offices, plus open coworking space, as well as two conference rooms seating 10 or 16 people.
Monthly rates on executive offices start at $699 and include a number of amenities. There are traditionally provided services – phone, internet, printing and copying, kitchen, 24/7 access and a professional mailing address. Office Evolution also bundles in additional services like a business center manager to greet guests and 100 minutes of live phone answering.
Coworking plans run $129 for month-to-month usage with the normal inclusions – 24/7 access, internet, kitchen, copying and printing, etc. But Fireman says to expect a more professional environment. Office Evolution’s coworking space is a good fit for a professional who needs to maintain privacy and confidentiality more easily than an open environment would allow.Â
A host of other packages and available hourly rates allow workers to drop in for a day or a business to hold an event or meeting in a conference room.
Also a differentiator, Office Evolution offers a number of virtual services. Virtual services include live phone answering with the ability to screen, announce and transfer, use of 41 S. High St. as a business address, 24/7 drop-in access and access to additional Office Evolution locations in Dublin and Easton.
Fireman expects the address to draw a more professional crowd. While other Office Evolutions locations in Columbus house startups to realtors to therapists, with its location steps from the Statehouse and blocks from the courthouse, it’s a prime spot from government relations professionals and lawyers.
Amenities in the building like two restaurants, a coffee shop, barber shop and doctor’s office add an extra level of convenience. The building is also connected to other downtown high rises and an underground parking garage without setting foot outside.
This Wednesday, November 9, Office Evolution will hold a grand opening celebration for prospective tenants to view the space. The event is free to attend and runs from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. For more information, click here.
