Have you been bitten by the photo bug and want to learn more about using your camera? Columbus Camera Group, a local establishment in the photography community, has begun offering classes. The classes are aimed for those who would like to get a better understanding of their camera. Topics include: Photographic Principles (an in depth look at aperture, shutter speed, and ASA/ISO), Basic Lighting Techniques (learn to use strobes or continuous lighting with confidence) and How To Use Your Camera. You may also elect to have a session with a subject of your choice.
Bring your own equipment. Call ahead to schedule. Classes available from Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm. Classes are 45 minutes and cost $30.
They also have a monthly photo contest where the winner receives a gift certificate for the store and a print of their winning photograph. Find out more details and view the past winners here.
Columbus Camera Group is located inside a former church at 55 East Blake Avenue. To read more about their business and see more pictures of the space, read my At Work story on TheMetropreneur.com.
