According to multiple local news outlets, Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman will be seeking a fourth term as Mayor in 2011, putting to bed previous rumors that he would be exiting the office early. Coleman has served as Mayor of Columbus since 1999 and if re-elected would be the second mayor in Columbus history to serve four terms. Coleman has multiple projects aligned for the 2012 Bicentennial Celebration including a new curbside recycling program, the completion of the Scioto Mile and Columbus Commons parks, and other economic development initiatives.
No Republican candidate has been announced yet to run against Coleman in 2011.
