The Columbus Chamber Gets Funding to Help Troubled Companies
The Columbus Chamber is among 11 organizations that will receive funding to help them assist companies at risk of closure or layoffs.
The chamber’s grant, totaling $249,804, is made possible by the Ohio Department of Development’s Early Warning Network, which facilitates partnerships among state and local workforce and economic development partners, identifies possible resources, and implements strategic solutions for troubled companies.
“This grant supports the work of the Columbus Chamber to retain and expand local businesses,” says Jack Partridge, chairman of the Columbus Chamber Board of Directors and president of Columbia Gas of Ohio.
Further, the grant aligns with the Columbus2020! regional economic growth initiative, which calls for the chamber to focus its efforts on the retention and expansion of businesses in the Columbus region.
